The pepper and tomato plants are doing great-however the weather is not cooperating. A spring snow storm blanketed the area over the week end. It’s not the snow that bothers me but the cold. Within the next week or two I would like to start moving my plants outdoors to harden them off. If the weather doesn’t improve it will be an extended time indoors which is not good.
I like to see a few small peppers and tomatoes before my plants go in the garden. Success; the peppers are now showing baby peppers and the tomato plants are starting to blossom. If you do like I do and start your plants early you have to do something to make sure the blossoms pollinate. I use a product called Blossom Set. This product works very well; you just spray the blossoms and that’s all there is to it. It not only works good indoors, but also does a wonderful job in the garden. If you are having a cold summer and your tomatoes are having trouble pollinating use blossom set, and your pollination problems will be over. Another benefit of this product is; if you spray the plant early enough you will have some seedless tomatoes. I have included a link below this post that you can use to order; also any good size garden supply should carry it.
Have a Happy Easter
